Fannie Mae is a leading player in the housing finance industry, and we are currently seeking an experienced Data Infrastructure Expert to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on developing data infrastructure and pipelines to capture, integrate, organize, and centralize data, ensuring it is readily accessible and usable.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database technologies, complex coding languages, and computer system skills. They will be responsible for identifying customer needs and intended use of requested data in the development of database requirements, supporting the planning and engineering of enterprise databases, and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of database technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data infrastructure and pipelines to meet business requirements
  • Maintain existing databases and ensure their scalability and security
  • Analyze new data sources and monitor performance
  • Create user interfaces to enable further analysis
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2 years of experience with building and deploying applications in AWS (S3, Hive, Glue, AWS Batch, Dynamo DB, Redshift, AWS EMR, Cloudwatch, RDS, Lambda, SNS, SWS)
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, SparkSQL, and PySpark
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of an agile team
Desired Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience with Big Data Hadoop clusters, AWS, and Python
  • Knowledge of Spark streaming technologies
  • Experience working with agile development teams
  • Familiarity with Hadoop/Spark information architecture, data modeling, and machine learning
Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this role is between $120,000 and $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
