Job Summary

Liberty Resources is seeking a highly skilled Substance Use Recovery Specialist to join our team at Maxwell House, a community residence for adults living with chemical dependency in Oneida, NY.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments and screenings to identify client needs and develop individualized recovery plans.
  • Maintain a caseload and provide chemical dependency evaluation, service planning, and counseling services as directed by the program supervisor.
  • Monitor and document client interactions and behaviors, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support services.
  • Act as a role model for residents, promoting a culture of recovery and wellness.
  • Ensure the upkeep and cleanliness of the residence, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's or Associate's degree and/or related experience preferred.
  • Valid New York State driver's license required.
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences and ability to incorporate understanding into service provision.
