Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Training Specialist to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA. This is a hybrid role, requiring 2-3 days of office work and 2-3 days of field work per week.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our training program, developing new content, and delivering instruction on current and newly developed courses. They will also provide hands-on inspection services to customers, enhancing the value of our offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver training programs for customers and internal associates
  • Manage the full portfolio of training offerings, with a focus on the Oil & Gas industry
  • Collaborate with the sales team to integrate our training programs into customers' workforce
  • Provide technical training and support to internal associates
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our training services
  • Partner with Swagelok Corporate to enhance current offerings and develop new courses
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (Associate's degree in engineering or related technical field accepted)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in training capacity, preferably in fluid control systems or similar industrial industry
  • Familiarity with pressure, level, temperature, flow, and fluid dynamics a plus
  • Background in refinery, chemical, oil & gas, or manufacturing operations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in tubing and fluid system applications, specifically instrumentation
  • Occupational experience working with instrumentation, valves, and tube fittings
  • Professional training qualification
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in office, shop, and plant environments
  • Regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, and sit
  • May need to carry sample cases and catalogs weighing less than 50 pounds
  • When visiting some plants, may be required to have a clean-shaven face, wear fire-resistant clothing, and/or other PPE
