Medical Staff LPN

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a member of our healthcare team, you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Manager, utilizing your skills and expertise to deliver exceptional care to patients with medical/surgical needs.
Key Responsibilities- Direct Patient Care: Assess and assist with managing patient needs, following physician orders with RN oversight and utilizing the nursing process.
- Coordination of Services: Coordinate care and services with RN and other team members, informing RN, therapist, and/or clinical supervisor of changes in patient condition as appropriate.
- Patient/Caregiver Education: Serve as patient educator to foster self-care or caregiver support for the home patient.
- Staff Education and Professional Development: Participate in the orientation and education of new employees and nursing students as appropriate, responsible for attending continuing education and in-services as directed and needed.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing
- Current State of Georgia professional licensure
- Basic Life Support certification
- Georgia Driver's License (preferred)
- Private Vehicle insurance (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year medical/surgical nursing practice in an acute care environment
- Positive leadership, problem-solving skills, strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong assessment and clinical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
