Jockey Driver

We are seeking a skilled Jockey Driver to join our team at Pacific Rail Services. As a Jockey Driver, you will be responsible for driving a jockey truck moving 53ft trailers, containers, and chassis around the yard.

• Drive a jockey truck moving 53ft trailers, containers, and chassis around the yard.
• Perform various Ground person duties, including climbing on and off railcars, locking and unlocking tracks, and putting in and taking out inner box connectors (IBCs).
• Assist packer operators in loading and unloading equipment using hand signals.
• Assist in the process of stacking and unstacking chassis as well as loading and unloading chassis racks.
• Perform other assigned duties.

• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Pass a 7-year background check.
• Pass a drug test and a Physical Capabilities Test.
• No GED or diploma required.
• Strong communication skills required.

We offer a 4-day work week with 3 days off or a 5-day work week with 2 days off. Both shifts you'd work up to 12 hours daily. (This does not guarantee 12 hours daily) Most of our employees currently work between 48 and 70 hours a week.

The 5-day work week could require a mandatory 8hr 6th day after your probationary period is up.

5:00 PM start time.

Applicants must currently live within a 1-hour commute of Harrisburg, PA. OUT OF AREA candidates and/or those requiring relocation will NOT be considered.
