Asphalt Terminal Operator

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Terminal Operator to join our team on a 3rd shift basis. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for loading asphalt tankers with precision and ensuring timely deliveries.

Responsibilities:

• Loading asphalt tankers with accurate material quantities.
• Maintaining equipment and the yard in a safe and efficient manner.
• Transferring products from tank to tank while prioritizing safety.
• Receiving truck, barge, and rail shipments, and offloading contents into various tanks.
• Regulating tank temperature and measuring levels by climbing vertical tanks.
• Maintaining pumps, valves, and other mechanical devices to ensure optimal operating conditions.
• Coordinating with dispatch to load the correct products onto trucks for precise deliveries.
• Assisting manufacturing processes and communicating effectively with the team.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Prior experience running equipment is a plus; willingness to learn mobile equipment operation is essential.
• Availability to work 3rd shift (11pm-7am).
• Forklift operating experience is a significant advantage.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
• Legal right to work in the U.S.
• A valid driver's license.

Benefits and Compensation

We offer a competitive hourly wage between $26.00 and $28.00, depending on experience and qualifications. This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and requires physical effort, as you will be moving objects weighing up to 100 lbs or more.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position involves standing or sitting for extended periods, lifting, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, walking, reaching, driving, and repetitive motion. You must possess visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and heavy equipment safely.
