Assembly Process Technician

The Process Technician is a critical role in our manufacturing process, responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of equipment. This position requires a high degree of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead changeovers and equipment adjustments to meet quality and cycle time requirements
- Assist Maintenance Technicians in installation, debugging, repair, and maintenance of production equipment
- Perform tasks related to autonomous maintenance, changeovers, inspection, and testing of equipment and specific projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve process problems to minimize downtime
- Diagnose process defects and equipment failure, and implement solutions to minimize scrap and downtime
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and other maintenance technicians to ensure efficient operation of machinery and implement process improvements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Lead and participate in root cause analysis of equipment or parts
- Safely comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements
- Experience with appropriate process (Enamel, Welding, Paint, Pre-Painted Metal Stamping, Metal Fabrication, Automation), or 1 year experience coupled with technical associate degree (Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics)
- Ability to operate a computer and a tablet (iOS and Android)
- Associate degree in maintenance technology and/or technical trade certificate
- Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings, and write detailed repair reports
- Ability to lead others and experience in training others in autonomous maintenance
- Knowledge of Design/Solid Works or AutoCAD
- Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing Principles
This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, squatting, crawling, twisting, climbing, and performing repetitive movements. The employee must be able to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds with assistance. Ability to work in unusual or extreme elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
