Job Summary

Amtec Contract is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to perform diversified inspection work. The ideal candidate will have experience with engineering drawings, process specifications, and customer documents to verify purchased parts. Key responsibilities include creating first article inspections, performing complex parts inspections using CMM equipment, and interpreting drawings. Additionally, the successful candidate will be able to create Non-conforming Reports and train as a FAA ODA unit member.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general inspection work in three basic areas: receiving inspection, first article inspection, and final and shipping inspection.
  • Take direction from inspection lead for work assignments and obtain guidance on technical matters.
  • Familiarize yourself with all applicable client inspection procedures and related work instructions, and recommend improvements when applicable.
  • Measure parts to verify accuracy of dimensions using standard and/or special CMM measuring equipment.
  • Test units for specification conformance using measuring test equipment as required.
  • Stamp or approve acceptable parts and prepare necessary paperwork to document results.
  • Through the Non-conforming Material Report, clearly and concisely describe the condition of unacceptable parts, determine responsibility for errors, and initiate NCR as applicable for disposition.
  • Work from engineering drawings, process specifications, customer drawings, and test procedures.
  • Maintain all required inspection records as per procedures.
Requirements
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exposure to mechanical and/or electrical inspection techniques.
Education and Experience
  • Two years performing inspection functions, e.g., machinist or technician.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
