Job SummaryThe Bartolotta Restaurants is a renowned hospitality organization seeking a skilled Mixology Expert to join our team. As a key member of our beverage service team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences through expertly crafted cocktails and attentive service.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and Serve Beverages: Receive orders from patrons or waitstaff, prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and maintain a clean and organized bar area.
- Stock and Maintain Bar Supplies: Ensure that fruit and other garnishes are prepared ahead of time, maintain a well-stocked bar, and attractively display glasses and liquor.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: Utilize exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills to deliver outstanding customer experiences, and ensure that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo ID's.
- Manage Cash Handling and Point of Sales: Collect payments from guests for drinks prepared and served, and utilize Point of Sales systems and software to manage transactions.
- Maintain a Safe and Respectful Environment: Utilize proper judgment and discretion to refuse service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Extensive Knowledge of Drink Preparation and Service: Possess extensive knowledge of drink preparation and service, including mixology and barkeeping techniques.
- Exceptional Interpersonal and Presentation Skills: Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal, oral, and presentation skills, with a focus on serving customers.
- Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Possess the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, and remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons.
- Ability to Learn Point of Sales Systems: Possess the ability to learn Point of Sales systems and software.
- Completion of Mixology or Barkeeping Training: Possess completion of mixology, barkeeping, or other related training.
- Related Experience: Possess at least one year of related experience, preferably in a fast-paced beverage service environment.
- Standing and Walking: Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Bending and Kneeling: Occasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and reach overhead.
- Lifting and Carrying: Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds at a time.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years or older to serve alcoholic drinks.
