We are seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a Senior Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving high-quality meals to our patients, residents, and staff.
Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including therapeutic diets, to meet the nutritional needs of our patients and residents.
- Execute meal service based on prescribed patient/resident diets, ensuring that all food is prepared and served safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, adhering to food quality standards and Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines.
- Operate kitchen equipment, including mixers, slicers, kettles, and ovens, to prepare and cook food.
- Work independently and as part of a team to ensure seamless meal service and maintain a positive work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least one year of previous cooking experience, with previous experience working with therapeutic diets preferred.
- Strong restaurant line cooking skills to ensure timely and coordinated meal preparation.
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
