About the Role

Bach to Rock, a leading music education company, is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Music Teacher to join our team. As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for providing private, semi-private, and group music lessons to students of all ages and skill levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Lesson Planning: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs and interests of students, using the Bach to Rock curriculum and cover song arrangements.
  • Creating a Positive Learning Environment: Establish a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that fosters students' love for music and learning.
  • Student Assessment and Progression: Assess students' readiness to join a band or ensemble and provide guidance on their musical development.
  • Event Support: Assist with school events and activities, promoting a sense of community and teamwork.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic equipment maintenance and repairs as needed.
Requirements
  • Music Knowledge and Communication: Demonstrate a strong understanding of music concepts and effectively communicate them to students.
  • Music Theory and Technique: Possess advanced knowledge of music theory and technique relevant to the primary instrument.
  • Time Management and Organization: Exhibit effective time management and organizational skills to keep students on task during lessons.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with diverse personalities and be an experienced performer.
  • Experience Working with Youth: Have experience working with children and/or beginning musicians, and be able to interact effectively with students of all ages.
  • Background Check: Pass a background check.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Hourly Rate: $18 - $22 per hour, based on education, experience, expertise, and availability.

Bach to Rock offers a flexible part-time schedule, a fun work environment, and the opportunity to work with like-minded musicians. We handle the marketing, scheduling, booking, billing, and other business aspects of lessons and group classes, allowing you to focus on teaching.
