About the Role

Amazon Robotics is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our Hardware Engineering team focused on next-generation robotic system design and development. The TPM will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle of innovative programs aimed at improving the efficiency and reducing the cost of Amazon's next-generation Fulfillment Centers, Sortation Centers, Air Hubs, and Air Gateways.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the effective and efficient delivery of Hardware Product Development programs and projects, working closely with mechanical, electrical, and embedded systems teams.
  • Interact with Deployment Engineering, Manufacturing, Global Support Services, and other key stakeholders to define and deliver to project goals to improve performance, reduce cost, and reduce installation cycle time.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support solution development and integration. An ideal candidate has experience with hardware/software integration.
  • Triage, prioritize, and execute against incoming requests from the field for Hardware engineering support.
  • Drive consensus on technical decisions and ensure the appropriate resources are employed to deliver high-quality results.
  • Lead the partnership between hardware engineering, product management, and systems engineering to develop and decompose comprehensive functional requirements.
  • Identify, assess, track, and mitigate issues and risks at the program level.
  • Create, maintain, and disseminate project information to stakeholders.
  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.
  • Develop and drive hardware project schedules.
  • Drive programs across all HW disciplines, including Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, Safety, Regulatory, HW Test Engineering.
  • Partner with groups external to Hardware Engineering to successfully deliver on project goals.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience.
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
