The Regional Sales Executive is tasked with cultivating robust partnerships with retailers and brokers within our Convenience store sector across the Eastern United States. Reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager, the Regional Sales Executive will collaborate with designated brokers and retailers to implement sales strategies, respond to retailer-specific inquiries, analyze sales metrics, assist in conducting regular business assessments, perform sales visits to broker offices and/or regional or national grocery chain headquarters, and oversee the enhancement of brand distribution and visibility among assigned Convenience store clients in a multi-state territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Business Development Manager for the Convenience store retail channel.
- Collaborate with assigned brokers, wholesalers, and regional retailers to foster business growth.
- Assist in delivering precise and timely sales forecasts.
- Analyze and evaluate sales data, including syndicated data sources such as IRI and/or Nielsen.
- Conduct regular business reviews and sales visits, both in-person and via video, to broker offices and regional or national convenience store chain retail headquarters.
- Participate in trade shows and industry events.
- Perform routine retail inspections, visiting assigned Convenience store locations throughout the Eastern United States.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales, business development, or analytical roles within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or corporate retail sectors.
- Familiarity with syndicated data sources such as IRI and/or Nielsen.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time, including overnight stays.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ideal candidates will be located in the Chicago metro area.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Prior experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector.
- Experience in the candy, confectionery, or snack industries.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
