Position Title: Rehabilitation Specialist (Inpatient and Outpatient)

FLSA Status: Exempt

Reports To: Senior Therapist, Clinic Supervisor, Therapy Manager, Therapy Director

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Rehabilitation Specialist, you will interpret medical directives, conduct thorough evaluations and assessments, and develop and execute individualized care plans. You will maintain comprehensive treatment and progress documentation, and prepare or present detailed reports on patient progress. Collaboration with interdisciplinary team members is essential to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Starting Wage: $73,440.00

The listed wage represents the initial compensation for this role. Actual salary may vary based on the applicant's relevant experience and qualifications. The wage range for this position may be subject to future adjustments based on various factors including market trends, organizational needs, legal changes, and other relevant considerations.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Certification/Licensure:
  • Active State of Hawaii OT licensure.
  • Current NBCOT certification as an OTR.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Completion of required competencies and job-related rehabilitation qualifications.
Education:
  • Graduation from an ACOTE accredited Occupational Therapy program.
Skills/Experience:
  • Proficient in safely managing patient mobility.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide safe and effective patient care.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Experience:
  • For Inpatient: At least one (1) year of experience in physical rehabilitation.
  • For Outpatient: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in physical rehabilitation.
  • For Hand Clinic: One (1) year of experience in hand rehabilitation, including participation in at least one (1) dynamic splinting workshop.
Professional Affiliation:
  • Membership in the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Membership in the Occupational Therapy Association of Hawaii.
