We are seeking an exceptional Senior Pastry Executive Chef to join our esteemed culinary team at our flagship restaurant in Montecito, CA. Located within the iconic Coral Casino, our establishment offers breathtaking 180-degree views of the Pacific Ocean and provides an extraordinary setting for world-class dining and memorable events.
This is a unique opportunity for a highly skilled pastry professional to become a leading force in our restaurant and play a pivotal role in steering us toward a successful grand opening and beyond. The ideal candidate will appreciate the structured framework while embracing the opportunity to contribute creatively.
Key Responsibilities:- Team Leadership: Oversee both production and service teams within the pastry department, ensuring the highest standards of performance and direct a dynamic team with flexibility and precision.
- Collaboration: Act as a liaison with the General Manager and Chef de Cuisine, adapting to changing demands and priorities while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Event Expertise: Handle various tasks with a focus on event experience, including banqueting breads, lamination, and plated desserts, showcasing exceptional attention to detail and creativity.
- Leadership and Learning: Lead by example, fostering a structured environment where systems are crucial, yet provide flexibility for creative input and changes as needed.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain the highest standards in cleanliness, organization, and technical execution, ensuring every product meets company standards.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in high-standard culinary environments with event and banqueting experience.
- Expertise in bread, lamination, and plated desserts.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a dynamic, high-demand environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational prowess, and excellent cleanliness standards.
- A deep desire for culinary excellence, with a focus on pastry and the ability to adapt to changing demands.
