Job Summary

A Patient Service Representative is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced medical office environment. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greeting and Registration: Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner, verify appointment information, and register new patients as needed.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule future appointments, verify patient information, and coordinate with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Answer incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service to patients and families.
  • Administrative Support: Perform general office duties, such as document preparation, scanning, and filing, to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Technology and Data Management: Utilize specialized software and technology to manage patient data, update records, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare professionals, management, and support staff to ensure effective patient care and communication.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of customer service and/or medical office experience preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates preferred, but not required; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
