Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Echo Technician - Critical Care Intensivist to join our team at Methodist Hospital. As a critical care intensivist, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms in the critical care setting, including imaging of patients on mechanical circulatory support devices and high acuity complex cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiograms in the critical care setting, including imaging of patients on mechanical circulatory support devices and high acuity complex cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions.
  • Assist with critical thinking, assessment during procedure, and optimize image acquisition/recording.
  • Ensure all necessary views for research studies are acquired and recorded.
  • Perform high level disinfection using established policies and procedures as required.
  • Support the mission and vision of Methodist Healthcare System and its associated facilities.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited cardiac sonography program.
  • Minimum 5 years practicing as an echo/cardiac ultrasound sonographer.
  • Minimum 3 years practicing in a cardiac intensive care setting.
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in Fetal Echocardiography (RDMSFE).
