Objective
The role of a warehouse worker involves the efficient management of materials, including the picking, packing, and scanning of orders. The primary aim is to enhance operational efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction while ensuring a secure working environment.
Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the shipping and receiving processes, including unloading trucks and verifying merchandise.
- Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; this includes pulling materials, packing boxes, and organizing items in the delivery area.
- Sort and organize materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to established standards.
- Open bales, crates, and other containers as needed.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by tracking stock locations, printing requests, and recording quantities of materials received or distributed using a computer system. May also assist in physical inventory counts.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations organized; perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, dusting, and mopping.
- Utilize appropriate safety equipment at all times.
Required Skills
- Strong communication, organizational, time management, and mathematical abilities.
- Dependable and trustworthy.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to use hands for handling, reaching, and communicating.
- Must be able to lift and/or move objects weighing between 10-50 lbs, with occasional lifting of items over 100 lbs.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
- Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse setting.
- Forklift experience is mandatory for consideration.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
