Atrium Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Radiation Therapist to lead our Radiation Oncology department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising radiation therapists, ensuring quality assurance, and maintaining regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and mentor radiation therapists to ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
• Conduct weekly chart checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of patient records.
• Maintain employee records, assist with performance appraisals, and provide in-service education to staff.
• Collaborate with physics and physicians to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
• Monitor productivity, adhere to budgetary constraints, and make data-driven decisions to optimize departmental performance.
• Act as a patient advocate, addressing concerns and ensuring a positive treatment experience.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED required; completion of AMA-approved School of Therapeutic Radiology and ARRT registry required.
• 5 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
