Job Summary

The Warehouse Delivery Associate role at Baker Distributing involves daily transportation and delivery of HVAC goods and materials to customers, vendors, or other Sales Center locations. This position also entails maintaining and operating the warehouse between deliveries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Baker Distributing as a leader in the industry by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring timely delivery of products.
  • Load and unload products in trucks for delivery to customers and/or other Sales Centers, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Collect invoices with proper signatures and return them to the Sales Center Manager for processing.
  • Assist in the Warehouse with inventory counts, picking, and verifying orders to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Responsible for daily truck maintenance checks and reporting in/out times with merchandise returns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the smooth operation of the warehouse and delivery services.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1-year truck driving experience, with a clean driving record and no DUI convictions in the past 3 years.
  • Box Truck delivery experience is highly desirable.
  • Must possess a current DOT Physical card prior to employment and be able to pass the DOT physical examination requirements.
  • CDL license is highly desirable, but not required.
  • Warehouse experience, including driving a forklift/appliance lift, is a plus.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and provide superior service.
  • Must possess the attitude of wanting to learn and grow with the Company.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older and possess a current, valid Driver's License.

Licensing and Certifications
  • Valid driver's license.

  • Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, sit, or walk, climb, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee may use equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Must be able to utilize heavy machinery.
