About This Role

We are seeking a talented Certified Medical Assistant to join our pediatric care team at Carolina Health Centers, Inc. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our providers in a fast-paced medical environment.

Estimated Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 per year

Key Responsibilities

This position requires a strong understanding of pediatric care principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and families in a medical setting and be certified by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).

Main Duties:

  • Provide direct patient care to children and adolescents, including assessments, exams, and treatments
  • Conduct pre-visit planning, including reviewing patient charts and collecting additional information as needed
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment, taking vital signs and assessing their condition
  • Perform routine lab procedures, including phlebotomy and basic laboratory tests
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation, including lab results and procedure records

Requirements:

  • Certification by the AAMA
  • BCLS certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
  • Experience working in a pediatric medical office environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
