Job Summary:
Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a key member of our dental care team, you will work closely with our dentists to provide exceptional patient care and promote oral health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient dental condition and needs through thorough medical history review, dental charting, and perio charting.
- Deliver direct patient care using established dental hygienist procedures, including cleaning and polishing, radiographs, and sealants.
- Take patient vital signs and maintain accurate electronic records.
- Teach patients proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized care plans.
- Collaborate with dentists to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Perform routine treatment procedures, such as cleaning and polishing, and apply sealants and fluorides.
- Document patient dental history and chief complaint, and record and report pertinent observations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry best practices.
Requirements:
- Completed dental hygiene certificate program or Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene.
- Current Hygienist license for the state of North Carolina.
- Ability to demonstrate independent thinking, exercise good judgment, and work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to formulate, affect, interpret, and/or implement operating practices.
- Ability to perform frequent repetitive work with attention to detail and maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to be flexible and accept different work assignments with a positive approach.
- Ability to follow instructions and take responsibility for own actions.
- Ability to exercise confidentiality with patients and patient care.
