Job Summary

As a CT Technologist at Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our team. Under the direction of the manager and in-charge technologist, you will perform a variety of procedures applying ionizing radiation, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT scans as directed by the Manager, communicating effectively with physicians and other work-related personnel.
  • Identify patients and procedures, filling out CT questionnaires and female questionnaires as required.
  • Position patients accurately for all CT procedures, ensuring optimal visibility and anatomy demonstration.
  • Know scanning protocols in depth, using the protocol book as a reference to perform procedures correctly.
  • Obtain appropriate supplies and prepare rooms for patients, maintaining a clean and stocked environment.
  • Acquire requisitions, check for clinical appropriateness, and charge procedures, supplies, and surgical codes when exams are completed.
  • Communicate with radiologists to determine appropriate protocols for each exam, utilizing correct protocols as prescribed.
  • Maintain competency needed for working in the CT department, performing point-of-care testing, and demonstrating recognition of anatomy and pathology.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with ARRT certification in CT.
  • ARRT Registered and registered in CT.
  • SCQRSA License.
  • CPR certified.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • 3D Imaging preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier).
  • Data entry.
Work Environment

Laurens County Medical Campus, 1062 Laurens County Hospital, CT Scan Department.
