Job Overview

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Pharmacy Technician Floater, you will play a vital role in supporting our patients' medication management needs across various inpatient and outpatient areas.

This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. You will be responsible for performing various tasks independently under the supervision of a pharmacist, including medication preparation, dispensing, and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and dispense medications to patients in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of medication inventory, usage, and disposal
  • Assist pharmacists with medication therapy management, including counseling patients and healthcare providers
  • Operate automated dispensing machines and other equipment as needed
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless medication management and patient care
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in using specialized equipment
  • Flexibility to rotate shifts, alternate weekends, and work in various areas
