POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of this role is to prepare meals in accordance with specified dietary requirements, community protocols, and food safety regulations, under the guidance of the Food Service Director. Additional tasks may be assigned by community representatives. Adhere to all health, sanitation, and infection control policies while maintaining the standards set by the community's administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.

Education & Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• A solid understanding of food safety and sanitation principles is essential. Must comply with state-specific food handler training requirements.
• Proficient communication skills in English, with the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
• Capability to execute both verbal and written directives effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are required.
• Ability to collaborate with supervisors, colleagues, and community staff in performing duties.
• Competence in observing proper safety and sanitation practices.
• Availability to work scheduled hours as per the position's requirements.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace.

Experience:
• Previous experience in long-term care settings is preferred but not mandatory.
