Job Summary

The Leasing Consultant is a key member of our team, responsible for effectively leasing apartments in our multifamily unit community. This role involves not only leasing activities but also assisting management with resident programs, administrative tasks, and resident retention strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with prospective residents, provide tours of the community, and present features and amenities to showcase the property's value.
  • Lease apartments by closing sales, securing lease agreements, and processing applications for approval, including rental history, credit checks, and background checks.
  • Follow up with prospects regarding the status of their applications.
  • Accurately and timely input information into computer systems.
  • Ensure apartments are ready for residents to move in on agreed dates.
  • Assist the manager in collecting delinquent rents.
  • Participate in planning resident functions and events.
  • Gather information about market competition in the area.
  • Adhere to Bridge policies and procedures, as well as Fair Housing, state, and federal laws.
  • Follow all safety procedures and notify the supervisor of any safety hazards.
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and develop relationships quickly.
  • Leasing, sales, and closing skills.
  • Competence in using standard office equipment, including telephones, Internet, fax machines, and photocopiers.
  • Basic computer and data-entry skills.
  • Demonstrate strong work ethics and adaptability.
  • Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
