Overview:
Oversees and organizes the tasks of maintenance personnel involved in the upkeep, repair, and installation of machinery, tools, and equipment, as well as the maintenance of the facility's infrastructure, grounds, and utility systems.
Qualifications:
Completion of high school education or equivalent; or three to four years of relevant experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
Capable of composing routine reports and correspondence, and effectively communicating information in individual and small group settings.
Ability to perform calculations involving figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Proficient in applying basic algebraic and geometric concepts.
Must possess problem-solving skills and the ability to manage various variables in situations with limited standardization, as well as interpret diverse instructions provided in written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled formats.
Responsibilities:
Leads personnel in the electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
Assists team members in identifying issues in machinery and equipment.
Proposes strategies to enhance equipment efficiency, leading to improved production techniques and product quality.
Guides workers involved in disassembling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery.
Implements company policies and safety standards for all staff members.
Establishes or modifies work procedures to align with production timelines.
Recommends adjustments in work conditions and schedules to boost operational efficiency within the department or work crew.
Analyzes or aids team members in resolving work-related challenges.
Participates in the recruitment, training, and development of team members.
Engages in safety, security, and other loss prevention initiatives.
Maintains records of time and production.
Executes supervisory duties in accordance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and relevant laws.
Supervisory responsibilities include employee training; planning, assigning, and directing tasks; evaluating performance; recognizing and addressing employee contributions; managing employee concerns and resolving issues.
