Job Summary

The Safer Foundation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our Adult Transition Centers (ATCs) to provide a safe and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Ensure all facilities are maintained in a clean and safe condition, including restrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
  • Collaborate with the ATC Property Manager to prioritize maintenance tasks and ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inventory of supplies and materials.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work at heights.
