We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Endoscopy Technician to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Health. As a key member of our gastroenterology department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our endoscopy procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain endoscopy equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Assist physicians and other clinical staff members in carrying out procedures that require aseptic techniques and standard precautions.
- Transport equipment and supplies to different areas of the facility as needed, preparing patients for exams and procedures.
- Monitor patients, recognizing changes in condition and seeking appropriate help when necessary.
- Clean and disinfect rooms before and after procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
- Manage inventory of equipment and supplies, placing orders in a timely manner to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Set up procedure rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in good working order.
- Restock supplies in assigned rooms at the end of each shift.
- Perform quality checks on equipment, ensuring repairs and maintenance are completed as needed.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language.
- Ability to see and hear with or without correction.
- Commitment to ongoing performance improvement and professional development.
- Attendance at 100% of in-service education and 50% of staff meetings.
