Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical histories, medication protocols, and diagnostic results upon their entry into the PCU.
2. Regularly monitor essential vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation levels.
3. Utilize specialized medical equipment to interpret and analyze patient data.
4. Administer prescribed medications accurately and perform necessary adjustments to dosages as required.
5. Execute diagnostic evaluations to identify changes in patient conditions and implement appropriate interventions.
6. Communicate any significant changes in patient status to healthcare professionals and adhere to their guidance for interventions.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including charts and medical documentation.
8. Supervise nursing assistants and support personnel within the PCU.
9. Provide clear explanations of treatments and procedures to patients and their families, addressing any inquiries they may have.
Qualifications:
Education: RN-PCU
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a PCU setting is preferred.
Essential Requirements:
Current BLS certification and an active RN license.
Certification:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
