Job Summary

This Faculty member teaches upper-division Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) courses in Marketing to students pursuing a Bachelor Degree.

Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
  • Evaluates and advises students
  • Develops curricula
  • Maintains department standards
  • Recruits and participates in retention of students
  • Serves on committees
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree in Marketing; or Doctorate degree in Business Administration or Management and 6 graduate semester hours in Marketing; or Master's degree in Business Administration and 6 graduate semester hours in Marketing; or Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Marketing.
  • All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Documented experience with applied teaching and learning methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students with a wide range of skills.
  • Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work well with students and colleagues in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekend assignments.
