Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Technologist to join our team at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. As a key member of our Cardiac Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology/Endovascular team, you will assist Interventional Cardiologists, Radiologists, and Vascular Surgeons in performing cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the operation of c-arm radiation equipment and provide radiation protection.
  • Prepare sterile fields and function as scrub assist and hemodynamic monitor.
  • Knowledgeable regarding prep and use of current devices in Cath Lab/IR/Endovascular inventory.
  • Perform procedures including PCI, PTCA, and PTA, cerebral and visceral angiography and interventions, stent placement, line placements, dialysis access maintenance, pacemaker and ICD implant.
  • Provide patient/family education related to procedure and cardiovascular disease risk factors.
  • Assist nursing staff in all aspects of patient care.
  • Maintain CPACS database and demonstrate competency in arterial and venous sheath removal, hemostasis, and access site management.
  • Provide care to patients peri-procedure and assisting in pre and post procedure care.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Licensed Medical Radiographer (MRAD) in the state of Kentucky.
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT (RTR, RCES, RCIS).
  • AHA Basic Life Support – CPR (BLS-CPR) certification within 5 days.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months.
