Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center. As a PACU Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a smooth transition from the operating room to the recovery area.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and care for post-anesthesia patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the recovery process.
  • Administer pain and nausea control medications as needed, working closely with the anesthesia team to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Conduct surgical site monitoring, identifying and addressing any potential complications or concerns.
  • Remove compression therapy devices post-heart catheterization, ensuring proper wound care and patient comfort.
  • Keep families informed and engaged throughout the postoperative care process, providing emotional support and reassurance.
Requirements
  • Current TN RN licensure or compact state licensure.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of employment start date.
  • 1 year of ICU, ER, or PACU experience required.
