Job Summary

The Bilingual Care Coordinator - Case Manager will be responsible for assessing the needs of Unaccompanied Alien Children (UACs) in care, developing Individual Service Plans, and facilitating the safe and timely release or discharge of children and youth. The successful candidate will work in partnership with the Department of Health and Human Services to provide family reunification and short-term shelter for children who have entered the United States without a guardian.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the needs of UACs in care and develop Individual Service Plans
  • Facilitate the safe and timely release or discharge of children and youth
  • Work in partnership with the Department of Health and Human Services to provide family reunification and short-term shelter
  • Provide crisis intervention services for youth experiencing acute distress and dysfunctional behaviors
  • Provide supportive case work counseling to youth and families
  • Complete all state mandated and agency documentation according to policy and regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in the behavioral sciences, human services, or social services fields
  • Minimum 2-4 years child welfare and/or case management experience
  • Fluent in English/Spanish with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including night and weekend hours as necessary
