About the Job

North Central Utility is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trailer Technician to join our team in Waukesha, WI. As a Trailer Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the satisfaction of our customers by providing prompt and efficient service.

In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing trailers, including troubleshooting electrical systems, performing preventative maintenance, conducting inspections, and completing all necessary repairs. You will have the opportunity to utilize your skills and expertise to ensure that our customers' trailers are in top-notch condition.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in trailer repairs and a comprehensive understanding of various trailer systems. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and works well in a team environment. Your ability to communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair various trailer systems, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to manufacturer specifications
  • Conduct thorough inspections of trailers and document any findings
  • Complete repairs in a timely manner and ensure all work is done to the highest quality standards
  • Communicate effectively with customers, providing updates on repairs and addressing any concerns or questions they may have
  • Collaborate with other technicians and service advisors to ensure efficient workflow
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Trailer Technician or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of trailer systems, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components
  • Familiarity with various diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
