The chosen candidate will deliver comprehensive security assistance and undertake alternate Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) responsibilities for various specialized access initiatives.

This role involves collaborating with the primary CPSO across multiple security domains, including personnel and physical security, policy interpretation and analysis, classification and material oversight, subcontractor security coordination, readiness for inspections, operational security mandates, security training, and fostering relationships with program management.

The successful applicant will innovate security strategies to fulfill mission objectives while ensuring adherence to our clients' standards and relevant security regulations.


This position mandates a thorough security evaluation in accordance with governmental contract stipulations and is a prerequisite for employment.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proficient understanding and experience in applying the 32 Code of Federal Regulation Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), DoD Volumes 1-4, and ICD 705.
  • The candidate should be a proactive and results-driven professional capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ability to communicate and present clear, informed, and risk-managed security recommendations based on limited or conflicting data is crucial, as is the capability to build effective relationships both internally and externally with government clients and industry partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and analytical abilities, are essential.
  • The candidate must possess a Final Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and a completed background investigation.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with security management systems such as JADE, SIMS, DISS, Special Access Programs (SAP), and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility compliance.
  • Background in working with DoD Special Programs as an ACPSO.
  • Ability to work autonomously when necessary while also being a collaborative team member.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

The annual base salary for this position varies based on location and experience.

Lockheed Martin evaluates factors such as the scope of responsibilities, the candidate's work history, education, and market considerations when determining salary offers.
