Position Overview

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and repair of industrial machinery associated with our refinery operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Rebuild pumps utilizing various seal assemblies, including mechanical and packing types.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve pump malfunctions effectively.
  • Install and align pumps, gearboxes, blowers, and related equipment with precision.
  • Maintain and repair different types of conveyors, including screw and belt conveyors.
  • Conduct mechanical maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of equipment on-site.
  • Utilize a variety of hand and power tools for mechanical repairs.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to acquire new skills, such as basic welding and cutting, with guidance from experienced colleagues.
  • Work independently while also being a collaborative team member.
  • Ensure a clean and organized workshop environment at all times.

Required Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance or mechanical roles within an industrial or similar environment.
  • Availability for rotating shifts, overtime, and weekend work as needed.
  • Possession of a basic toolkit (hammers, screwdrivers, socket wrenches, etc.) is essential.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks involving reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and manipulating materials and tools.
  • Capability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb frequently throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Ability to wear a full-face respirator and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Commitment to safety as a core value, with the ability to work proficiently and safely.
  • Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as protective footwear, clothing, and safety glasses.

Compensation

Pay Rate: $37.86
