Job Summary:

The Bower Lodge Barista is responsible for ensuring the café is set up for success every morning and is deep cleaned and maintained to a high professional standard. This includes organizing and deep cleaning all café stations, greeting guests with quality customer service, and being knowledgeable of all restaurant operations to properly inform guests. The barista will also take direction from Lead Barista, Assistant Managers, and Restaurant Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Open Bower Lodge and set up café
  • Welcome guests and assist guests with a friendly smile while adhering to our guest guidelines
  • Create exceptional coffee drinks based on our menus
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the spaces by routinely sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces, and sanitizing, as well as dishwashing
  • Roll and polish silverware
  • Serve and expedite dishes to guests
  • Assist in cashiering/taking payments from guests
  • Adhere to all opening, closing, and side task lists
  • Keep organized
  • Maintain and stock bathrooms as needed
  • Adhere to dress-code and wear proper uniform and footwear during shift duties
  • Adhere to our uniform standards and the county's Health Code standards
  • Additional duties as directed by Resort Restaurant Manager & Assistant Restaurant Manager
  • Adhere to Bower Lodge's Policy and Procedures
  • Clean, tidy appearance and excellent hygiene
  • Team player
  • Very punctual


Requirements:
  • Current Utah Food Handlers Permit
  • Current Sips + Tips permit if 21+
  • Barista/hosting experience preferred
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable Transportation


Work Environment:
The Bower Lodge Barista will work in a generally indoor setting with occasional exposure to outdoor environment. While performing duties of this job, the employee will be frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions or cold weather. Working in a potential slippery environment.
