Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Sterling Engineering Inc. as a key member of our production operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair all production equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems, to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of plant production equipment and infrastructure, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with OEMs, contractors, and other outside vendors.
  • Leadership and Training: Lead maintenance technicians in the absence of a maintenance lead or supervisor and provide training to operators on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Project Management: Support the direction of maintenance projects, including new equipment installs and rebuilds, and demonstrate advanced fabrication skills and sanitary welds.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and repair complex issues, including HVAC, ammonia, and wastewater breakdowns, and utilize computer software to diagnose and resolve problems.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a maintenance or technical role, or the ability to pass a standardized test demonstrating skill level.
  • Education: High school degree or equivalent, with technical or vocational schooling preferred.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to complete tasks independently.
