Global Channel Management is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Data Platform Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deliver cloud datastore solutions and automation pipelines to migrate data sets from on-prem to cloud platforms.
  • Provision secure datastores and enable them with required security controls, including encryption, masking, and certificate/keys rotation.
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and system administrators to identify business requirements and design efficient datastore solutions and interfaces.
  • Identify and document system constraints, implications, and consequences of proposed system changes.
  • Review technical documentation to guide system users and assist with ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
  • Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshoot problems.
  • Provide expert-level IT technical lead services, including direction, evaluation, selection, configuration, implementation, and integration of new and existing technologies and tools in a cloud platform.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience implementing data applications or data platforms with Big Data/Hadoop, Python/Java/Spark full stack, etc.
  • 5+ years of support experience with Big Data technologies in the Hadoop ecosystem, including Hive, HDFS, MapReduce, Spark, Yarn, Kafka, Pig, HBase, Sqoop, Elastic Search, and Kerberos.
  • 5+ years of experience with ETL/ELT tools, such as AWS Glue ETL, Talend, and Datastage.
  • 5+ years of experience with orchestration tools, such as Airflow and Autosys.
  • Experience with Jira and Agile methodology is a plus.
  • Experience with understanding DevOps or CI/CD process w.r.t. infrastructure management activities.
Preferred Skills
  • Snowflake experience is preferred.
  • Masters or Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
