Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to join our team at AHMC Healthcare. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of medical staff credentialing, including processing new applications, reappointments, and resignations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process new applications, reappointments, and resignations for medical staff and allied health professionals
  • Maintain and update all privilege lists for medical staff and allied health professionals
  • Coordinate monthly Credentials Committee and Interdisciplinary Practice Committee meetings
  • Prepare monthly hospital board report
  • Monitor physician and allied health professional proctoring and follow-up on delinquencies
  • Maintain current knowledge about the JCAHO credentialing and privileging process
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Prior experience with credentialing and privileging
  • Detail-oriented with ability to process large amounts of paperwork with high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Medical terminology highly desirable
