Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ambulance Paramedic to join our team in Day County, SD. As an Ambulance Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care to individuals in need, responding to medical emergencies, and transporting patients to medical facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to Emergency Calls: Respond to emergency calls in a timely and efficient manner, utilizing your knowledge of emergency medical procedures to provide critical care to patients.
  • Assess Patient Conditions: Assess patients' conditions and administer appropriate medical treatment, including medications and other interventions as needed.
  • Transport Patients: Transport patients to medical facilities safely and quickly, ensuring the highest level of care and comfort during transport.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history, treatment administered, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes, including emergency medical technicians, nurses, and physicians.
  • Maintain Equipment and Vehicles: Maintain and clean ambulance equipment and vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition and ready for use at all times.
  • Participate in Continuous Training: Participate in continuous training and education to stay current on medical advancements and best practices in emergency medical services.
Qualifications:
  • Current Certification: Current certification as a paramedic in the state of South Dakota.
  • CPR and ACLS Certification: CPR and ACLS certification.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to Work Under Pressure: Ability to work well under pressure and in high-stress situations, remaining calm and composed in emergency situations.
  • Valid Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to Lift and Carry: Ability to lift and carry heavy loads, as needed.
