Job Summary

Albany Medical Center seeks a skilled Emergency Department Clinical Nurse to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a dynamic team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement physician orders, administer medications, and perform treatments and special tests
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to inform patient care decisions
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care, collaborating with the nursing team to develop effective plans
  • Provide primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, prioritizing patient safety and well-being
  • Direct and guide ancillary personnel to ensure seamless care delivery

Requirements

  • Graduate of a professional academic nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree)
  • Current Registered Nurse license and Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience, with excellent communication, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of quality concepts and principles, with a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
