Key Responsibilities:

+ Instructs and trains students in various radiological procedures and techniques.
+ Provides educational leadership, initiative, and adaptability in the clinical environment.
+ Orientates new students, develops student rotation schedules, maintains clinical records, and offers guidance as needed.
+ Communicates evaluation processes to all radiological technologists.
+ Conducts and reviews competency assessments for students each clinical semester.
+ Plans and delivers clinical classes on film critique, registry review, clinical procedures, and safety standards.
+ Organizes two student conferences per semester, evaluations, and professional ethical performance reviews.
+ Participates in monthly meetings with clinical instructors at the college.
+ Engages in ongoing professional development through relevant courses.
+ Coordinates and leads staff/student in-service training programs.
+ Demonstrates the ability to position patients effectively to achieve desired diagnostic results as per physician orders and radiological protocols.
+ Adheres to sterile techniques and prevents cross-contamination.
+ Maintains versatility to cover various imaging areas within Diagnostic Radiology.
+ Operates equipment according to specifications and maintains a clean and organized workspace.
+ Rotates through departmental sections and shifts as assigned.
+ Explains procedures clearly to patients.
+ Reports equipment malfunctions promptly to co-workers, supervisors, or managers.
+ Sets up and performs general radiographic procedures using minimal exposure while ensuring radiation safety practices.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements:

+ Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Certifications:+ Must hold a Registered Technologist credential from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT), in good standing.
+ Current state licensure required prior to employment.
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification required.

Complexity of Work:

+ Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
+ Must be capable of functioning in a high-pressure environment and taking appropriate actions.

Work Experience:

+ Minimum of three years of experience in Diagnostic Radiological Imaging.

Physical Requirements:

+ Requires prolonged standing and walking.
+ Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weights and handle equipment daily.

Personal Protective Equipment:

+ Adheres to standard precautions using personal protective equipment as necessary.
