  • Collaborate with fellow mechanics to address complex repair challenges.
  • Conduct post-repair tests on equipment to verify successful resolution of issues.
  • Engage with parts suppliers to ensure the availability of necessary components.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry practices and advancements in heavy equipment repair.
  • Ensure a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Assist in inventory management as needed.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as mandated.
  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in optimal condition.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; additional training in heavy equipment or truck engine repair is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Possession of a Class A or B Commercial Driver's License is required (or must be obtained within one year of employment).
  • Clean driving and criminal record is essential.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions effectively.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English is necessary.
  • Must provide own basic hand tools for the role.
Equipment Utilized:
  • Hand and power tools
  • Concrete mixer trucks
  • Communication devices
  • Manual lifting equipment
Physical Demands:
  • Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) physical standards.
  • Frequent standing on concrete surfaces is required.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 100 lbs and carrying of up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb, reach, and perform various physical tasks as needed.
