Position Overview
MedTrans, the private transportation division of Medline, is seeking a dedicated Class A Truck Driver to contribute to our mission of delivering essential medical supplies to various clients. Our fleet, comprising over 1,500 modern trucks, ensures efficient service across a network of more than 50 distribution centers nationwide, providing rapid delivery services to a vast majority of the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely load and secure medical products from the Medline facility into the truck.
- Operate a Class A vehicle responsibly, adhering to safety protocols and regulations during transit to multiple customer locations.
- Deliver products punctually to customer facilities, ensuring a high standard of service.
- Engage with customers in person, addressing inquiries and providing necessary documentation upon delivery.
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding any changes to the delivery schedule or route to accommodate customer needs.
- Maintain accurate travel and cargo logs in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation and adequate fuel levels.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience driving tractor-trailers.
- Possession of a valid Class A CDL.
- Ability to comply with federal and state regulations governing commercial vehicle operation.
- A clean driving record, free from serious violations.
