Job Summary

The Collateral Specialist role is a full-time position focused on reviewing freight invoices, reviewing bills of lading (BOLs), and auditing paperwork and documents. This is an entry-level position with a focus on invoice processing and document verification.

Responsibilities

• Scanning, entering, and coding key data fields into various systems.
• Reviewing 6,000-8,000 freight invoices per week for accuracy and completeness.
• Conducting bill of lading (BOL) audits and reviews to verify document accuracy and resolve any issues.
• Communicating with freight brokers, shippers, and clients for problem resolution and research on invoices.
• Auditing invoices and documents to ensure proper processing.
• Ensuring all invoices, rate sheets, and bills of lading (BOLs) are audited and discrepancies are identified.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in a high-volume office or fast-paced production environment.
• Experience as a bank teller or invoice specialist in the transportation or banking industry is a plus.
• Factoring, billing, or handling invoices experience is preferred.
• Experience with accounting clerk or bookkeeping tasks is a plus.
• Experience communicating with freight brokers is a plus.
