Job Title

Zamboni Driver - Part-Time - Baxter Arena

 

Department

Operations and Facilities

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Drive Zamboni during community ice events and games, maintaining the ice to NCAA standards.
  • Prepare and maintain the facility ice for both the community and main arena ice.
  • Perform general physical labor associated with ice install, maintenance, glass repair, and rink repair.
  • Collect admission fees, ice rental payments, distribute and collect rental skates, assist with birthday parties, general skateshop and concession sales.
  • Set up and tear down tables and chairs for various groups.
  • Clean and maintain the locker rooms for the Holland Ice rink areas.

 

Additional Duties

 

  • Perform duties as needed.

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to work a varied schedule.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Prior experience driving a Zamboni and experience with ice maintenance.

 

Physical Demands

 

  • Regularly sits, stands, and walks.
  • See, hear, speak, and use of hands.

 

Work Environment

 

  • Regularly works indoors.
  • Noise level is low to moderate.

 

Salary

 

$17.00/hour
