Cardiac Catheterization Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Tech to join our team at AdventHealth Redmond. As a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians during cardiac and electrophysiological invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with procedure scheduling and preprocedure patient education/instructions when necessary
  • Prepare the patient for the procedure and monitor, position, and assist the patient during the procedure
  • Assist the physician throughout the procedure
  • Assess the procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness
  • Safely operate cath/EP support equipment for all procedures performed in the lab
  • Clean and calibrate equipment
  • Follow proper infection control procedures
  • Communicate with the physician and other staff members about patient condition as needed
  • Perform procedural documentation for all procedures performed in the cardiovascular/EP labs in a timely manner
  • Maintain department inventory
  • Ensure that the department is adequately equipped; keep supplies organized
  • Order supplies as per procedure
  • Assist in departmental performance Improvement activities including collecting and documenting quality improvement initiatives
  • Ensure high-quality service in compliance with all federal, state, and local accrediting bodies' rules, regulations, statutes, requirements, and standards, including TJC, measured through quality control, performance improvement, and customer satisfaction survey results

Requirements:

  • Must be a Registered Nurse, Cardiovascular Tech, or Radiology Technologist
  • Must have a current Georgia license/certification in the respective field
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Cardiac Catheterization and/or EP lab
