Job Title: Backend Assembly Technician

Teledyne FLIR LLC is seeking a skilled Backend Assembly Technician to join our team in the production of high-quality infrared sensors. As a key member of our Focal Plane Array (FPA) production team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and budget-friendly delivery of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mount and package components with precision and accuracy
  • Apply adhesives and perform bonding techniques to ensure optimal results
  • Inspect detector and mux components according to established procedures and diagrams
  • Document observations and prepare parts for further processing
  • Evaluate parts in accordance with Quality Assurance requirements
Requirements:
  • Ability to perform assembly tasks using a microscope
  • Knowledge of adhesives usage, mixing, and application, bonding techniques, surface preparations, cleanroom protocol, and electrostatic discharge rules
  • Flexible and able to perform a wide variety of processes across multiple products
  • Computer literate, mechanically inclined, and able to work autonomously with minimal direct supervision
  • Good observation and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to accurately follow procedures and diagrams
Education and Experience:
  • High school plus Associate's Degree desirable
  • Hands-on experience with handling and manipulation of small parts with tweezers
Additional Requirements:
  • US Citizenship with ability to attain/maintain government security clearance
